Learn to Talk Together (held at Dorchester Children’s Centre)

The Learn to Talk Together programme is based on a foundation of providing an environment which supports every child’s learning through planned activities and experiences that are achievable.

Activities include song and rhyme time, music, craft and messy play, learning through play, circle times, social and snack times.

How does the service work? The sessions are run in partnership with the Speech and Language Therapy Service and work in partnership with parents and other professionals to Encourage development of early language skills and support each child’s progress towards the outcomes of Every Child Matters. One to one support is also provided during the sessions.

Who is the service for?The sessions are aimed at any pre-school children and their families who would benefit from the structure of regular language development experiences including those who are disabled or have special educational needs (SEN).
