Supervised group days out, during the school holidays, ranging from swimming to amusement parks and everything in-between, tailored according to individuals needs.
How does the service work?
Booking forms are sent out to registered families in advance of each of the school holidays. Each family is required to complete the form by the deadling to request activities for their child.
The activities are decided, allocated and confirmed to the families prior to school holidays.
Payment for the activity is due in advance of it taking place. The cost will vary depending on the activity, but it is usually approximately £15 for a half day activity and £30 for a full day activity.
Who can attend?Children and young people with a disability aged between 8 and 19.
What does the service provide?Attending the activity provides the child/young person with the opportunity to have increased interaction with theirs peers and the chance to make some new friends. This is turn increases their independence. And not forgettting, FUN and lots of laughter.
For the parent/family it provides them with some valuable respite time whilst the child/young person is away on the activity day.
When do the activity days take place?
The activity days are planned for week days during each of the school holidays. The actual date and time will vary according to the activity.
